JOAN D. BOMBARA 45 Bowman St. College Teacher President of the F.T.A., Joan was News Editor of the Blue and Gold. A member of the National Honor Society, Joan participated for two years in Latin Honor Society and Pep Club. Joan also belonged to CAM and the French Honor So- ciety for three years. ELLEN BORNSTEIN 23 Wolcott St. Commercial Secretary A member of the Band for three years, Ellen is the high stepping Head Majorette of Malden High. A member of the Phi Delta Phi Sorority for two years, Ellen horse- back rides and bowls during her leisure time. Ellen's best liked subject is Bookkeeping. LEONARD M. BRAND 31 Acorn St. College Teacher A three-year member of the Band, Lenny has also belonged to COG for three years. Lenny was a cheer- leader for the WMEX Basketball game, and served as Sergeant at Arms for Seymour Zimmerman A.Z.A. In his leisure hours, Lenny plays a game of basketball. FRANK J. BONANNO 82 Granville Ave. General Mechanic Treasurer of the Pacemaker's Hot Rod Club, Frank is an expert drag racer. He has reworked many cars so that they are in top-notch running condition. For relaxation, Frank listens to numerous records, especially by Little Anthony and the Imperials. ROBERT E. BOWMAN 307 Medford St. Commercial Undecided In addition to boating and read- ing American History, Bobby spends much of his time fishing. He also bowls and plays football. Besides all these activities, Bobby enjoys listening to many albums of his favorite popular singing group, The Righteous Brothers. LOUISE BRANDANO 326 Lynn St. Commercial Airline Stewardess Besides being a cheerleader for Malden Vocational High, Lou serves on committees for dances and all other class activities. She was student council representative in her Junior year. When school is not in session, she likes to attend drag races and read. JEAN BORGES 43 Granville Avenue Commercial Secretary Jeannie likes to spend her week- ends ice skating, roller skating, or playing tennis. In the evening she relaxes by painting in oils. Jeannie also enjoys the music of her favorite group, The Monkees, and collecting their records. In school she finds History her most interest- ing subject. DONNA M. BOYD 264 Charles Street Commercial Legal Secretary Donna was a five-year member of the Methodist Youth Fellowship and the Rainbow Girls. In school she was a member of the Pep Club and Choral Art. When not working as a file clerk at Berkshire Frocks, she listens to the music of The Tijuana Brass. PAUL M. BRANSFIELD 52 Lynn St. General Undecided An adept skiing enthusiast, Paul was a member of the Malden High School Ski Club. During the sum- mer months, he spends much of his spare time surfing, fishing, and waterskiing. When not working or studying, Paul tries to develop his ability in golf. ROBERT A. BORGES 33A Lisbon St. General Disc-Jockey Bobby, a spirited Malden High sports fan, regularly attends all of our football, basketball, and hockey games. Besides working at Giant Valu after school, he finds time to read Biology, collect various records, and listen to his several Rolling Stone albums. DAVID F. BIMDLEY 18 Salem Place College College An Auxilium Latinum award win- ner in his Sophomore year, Dave has cultivated a great interest in law. After school, Dave drives a truck for Home Cash Market. For relaxation from his rapid pace, Dave goes bowling or plays a hearty .game of football. fu iss. ANN T. BRENNAN 8 Granite St. General Hairdresser Ann has many hobbies, one of which is sewing. She also collects the latest albums of her favorite musical groups, The Supremes and Little Anthony and the lmperials. Ann spends her afternoons horse- back riding, and considers Health her best subject.

PAMELA L. BAILEY 50 Vernon St. Commercial Bookkeeper As a member of the MHS Pep Club in her Sophomore year, Pam was a faithful supporter of the football team. Her varied hobbies include cooking, sewing, bowling, and miniature golf. After school, Pam is employed by the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company. FAITH A. BATES 1 Glenwood Street Commercial Housewife Faith, who served as a library assistant for one year, chooses English and Math as her best subiects. A collector of post cards, she often listens to The Three Degrees. In the summer, Faith goes swimming and sailing, and also plays kickball and badminton. JANICE S. BERMAN 30 Starbird St. College Teacher A faithful member of F.T.A. for two years, Jan holds the ofhce of Senior Executive board member in the Phi Delta Phi Sorority. A former Malden High School Band member, Jan was also in the MacDowell Girls' Concert Choir and Greenroom for one year. KATHLEEN E. BARRETT 100 Highland Ave. Commercial Stewardess A three-year representative for Maldonian, Kathy also was a mem- ber of the Alpha Delta Alpha Sorority for three years. An honor student, Kathy served on the decoration committees for Carou- sel and Noel , Kathy also was a candy girl for Channel '68 . 'Eli GAIL BEHAN 12 Fairmont St. Commercial Secretary A member of CYO, Gail's other outside activities include swim- ming, tennis, and skiing. She also spends many hours listening to The Beach Boys, The Temptations, and The Four Tops. In school, Gail's best subjects are English, Shorthand, and Typing. WAYNE D. BERTHEL 30 Division Street College U. S. Air Force A three-year member of the Malden DeMolay, Buzz also served as Senior Deacon. Much of Buzz's free time is occupied by water- skiing and playing baseball and basketball. When this athletic pace is too much, Buzz relaxes to the music of The Beach Boys. CHERYL J. BARRIS 17 Wigglesworth St. Commercial Secretary A two-year member of the ski club, Cheryl won a field hockey award for her outstanding ability in this sport. A former Pep Club member, Cheryl belongs to Alpha Delta Alpha Sorority. A par- ticipant in Channel '68, Cheryl is also a member of F.B.L.A, SUZANNE V. BELANGER 45 Seery St. College Teacher A Greenroom member for three years and a two-year member of the French Honor Society, Sue was a co-chairman of Oz. Sue also served on the Student Welfare Committee, and she was a delegate to the 1967 Oddfellows United Nations Pilgrimage of Youth. VINCENT P. BETTANO 140 Lyme Street College Sports Cartoonist As a guard, Vinny contributed to the Sacred Hearts CYO basketball team. His hobbies include drawing cartoons and portraits, and play- ing baseball. Vinny also listens to his large record collection of The Beach Boys, his favorite rock and roll group. JANICE BARTHELMESS 36 Julia Street General Hairdresser When not working at the Malden Hospital, ,Ian spends a great deal of her leisure time either skating, swimming, skiing, or surfing. Ranking high as her favorite popu- lar singing groups are The Mon- kees, The Mamas and The Papas, and The Righteous Brothers. MICHAEL E. BERLAN 129 Harvard St. General Accountant Mike is an expert golfer, and plays both baseball and basketball. His other outside activities include coin and stamp collecting, and working on cars. Mike listens to the recordings of Little Anthony and the Imperials, and his best subject is Math. GEOFFREY BLOMERTH 12 Clarence Terrace College Undecided A three-year member of COG and of French Honor, Jeff has also belonged to Latin Honor and the rifie team for two years. MICHAEL E. BRIEN 60 Maynard Street General U. S. Armed Forces Sports-minded Mike loves water- skiing, swimming, and surfing, as well as playing basketball for his church team. Being mechanically inclined, he enjoys tinkering with cars when not working at Kelley's. Mike chooses Algebra II as his favorite subiect. EDWARD E. BRYAN 8 Copeland Terrace College Electrical Engineer Eddy is an honor student and a member of the Latin Honor So- ciety. He is a letterman in swim- ming and a member of the Y Leader Corps. In his Junior year, he was presented the Leader of the Year award. After school, he works at the Malden Car Wash. ALAN J. BUMSTEAD 32 Milton St. Voke Electrician Alan was a responsible member of the Senior class council. Having his flying license, Alan's main ambition is to become a profes- sional pilot. Leading an active life, Alan spends his spare time water- skiing, snowskiing, skindiving, and playing football. SUSAN BROADY 11 Walnut St. College Legal Secretary A three-year member of Phi Delta Phi Sorority, Sue served as Junior Corresponding Secretary and Senior Executive. She was also a two-year member of B'nai B'rith Girls. Sue participated two years as a member of the Band and one year in Greenroom. DOREEN M. BUCKLEY 1386 Salem St. General Peace Corps An active member of the German Honor Society, Doreen received the German Book Award in her junior year. Her favorite recording artists include The Righteous Brothers and The Supremes. Read- ing books about World War II is one of Doreen's pastimes. JANE C. BURGESS 59 Bainbridge Street Commercial Nurse Jane was a three-year member of Kappa Phi and a member of CYO. She supported her class in Chan- nel '68 , Yesterday's Gone , and Shuffle Jane also attends all of our football and hockey games. She spends her,summers as a park instructor. BARBARA BROOKS 10 Lynn Street Commercial Secretary Barb is a member of the Church of the Open Bible Youth Group. She relaxes to her own guitar play- ing and that of Peter, Paul, and Mary. Barb, also interested in oil painting, is a fan of the MHS football team and attends all their games. PATRICIA A. BUCKLEY 125 High Street Commercial Model A homeroom representative for Maldonizzn and Blue and Gold, Pattie was also a member of the Ski Club, Tri-Hi, The Business Club, and the Pep Club. She has supported her class in all of their activities including Yesterday's Gone and Noel . EDWARD G. BURKE 421 Salem St. College Civil Engineer Captain of cross-country, Ed also displays ability in indoor and out- door track. He received letters for excellence in all three of these sports. He is also the recipient of track awards and trophies outside of school. Ed was a two-year member of CYO. GALE BROWN 200 Mountain Ave. Commercial Med. Secretary Taking an interest in many .out- door sports events, Gale especially likes to participate in water skiing and tennis. During school, her favorite subjects are Shorthand and Typing. Whenever she has a free moment, Gale listens to the songs of The Monkees. ROBERT L. BUCKNER 171 Glenwood St. College Undecided Bob was a two-year member of COG and a one-year member of the Band. He is an organist in The Randomsu, a band which plays at many college concerts and mixers. He composes and plays his own music on the organ. In sports he enjoys swimming and skiing. MARGARET M. BURKE 77 Costance St. College Nurse Margie is Vice-President of the Future Nurses Club and a one- year member of Greenroom. She was President of the North Shore Prancers and is still an active member. Margie's outside interests are Waterskiing, swimming, and listening to records.
