Garland History Department Head Harvard University—B.A., M.A. The History Department, under the leadership of Mr. Ctrl Garland, has undergone several changes in its curriculum. Because of an increased interest in World Problems, Mr. O'Donnell and Mr. Evans, in addition to Mr. Guarino, taught classes in that subject. American Studies, a new course taught jointly during fifth and sixth periods by Mr. O'Donnell and Mr. Duffy, was organized to give the student a better understanding of literature through a background of History.
