Mr. John B. Matthews ... Chapter of Future Teachers Starts This Year THE JOHN B. MATTHEWS CHAPTER of Future Teachers of America, which meets monthly under the able supervision of Miss Lois Goddard was established at Malden High School for the first time this year. The club's membership is open to all students genuinely interested in teaching as a career. The election of the first slate of officers took place last June in the Music Room. Elected were Randall Bailey, president. Stephen Mcidell, vice-president. Phyllis Factor, secretary, Paula Sneed, treasurer, Susan Woods, historian, Donna Superior, parliamentarian. With the guidance of Miss Goddard, the)’ led the club to an extremely active and successful first year. It sponsored trips to Salem State Teachers' College. Boston University, and the University of Massachusetts, aside from its interesting meetings with its fine guest speakers such as Miss Turkington, Mr. Grady. Mr Rossiter, and Mr. Duffy.
