The study of a language not only enables the student to think clearly but also has its prac tical benefits. From it we obtain understanding and apprecia¬ tion of the culture of a foreign people. During the past crisis many of the alumni in the armed forces wrote that their high school languages helped them get along in foreign homes. FINDING OUT WHAT X MEAN ' Math came in for its big inning in the past war and Malden Catholic wasn’t caught offguard. The minimum for all students is three years of Math and for some four years. Here we see the Math classes busy at work.
