HOMECOMING PAGEANT Early in the fall, young ladies began vying for the various royalty titles Contestants were requested to submit an essay to selected judges, plus participate in the annual Homecoming Pageant. On the evening of the pageant, contestants were judged on their talents as well as appearance The young ladies sang, danced or performed short skits.
