With only three returning Iettermen, hopes of having a good year were grim. But with hard work and determination the Tigers finished with a mark of 8-17. They started the season in grand fashion winning two of their first three games and taking second place in the Trinidad Tournament. But the Tigers hit an early season slump that lasted until their second district game, a 55-33 blowout at Mabank. Although their bid for the Bi-district crown fell short against Whitehouse in overtime, 56-58, the Tigerettes let no one down and gave their town and school something to be proud of. They were awesome on the court averaging 56 points a game to their opponents' 34.
