llUllllllEillllllHll From l935 when Mr. Maeser first became superintendent of lvlalad Schools until the present year of I944, his outstand- ing ability as a leader has made lvlalad one of the leading high schools of the state. With his long years in educational work, Mr. lvlaeser has with great understanding and foresight met the problems created by the present war. We. the students, feel fortunate in having such a man as leader of our schools. Mr. lvlarchel, our high school principal. has been a helpful friend and given much assistance and advice in the student affairs. l-le has encouraged the students on toward greater successes in studies and all activities which were undertaken. A. J. Thomas' friendly interest in the students of lvlalad l-ligh and their activities has made him an ideal adviser for the Student Council. The Mirror Staff would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Miss Williams for her help and advise in editing this book.
