The Class of 1968 carried out the usual senior calen- dar with unusual enthusiasm and inventiveness. Its vast resource of originality was evident in the manner in which Homecoming was presented this year. Tradi- tion was abandoned. The queen’s throne was placed far and above to the left of the stage, instead of in the center. The green and blue decorations transformed the auditorium into a sea of mist. Homecoming 1967 was a tribute to all who were involved. The job of collecting dues was next in line for the seniors. Later graduation announcement forms were voted on and an assembly was held at which time the students placed their orders. The Senior Class Play was a major theatrical success of the year. Students were given an opportu- nity to display their dramatic talents. The play was well-accepted by a large response. Students who had shown outstanding academic standing throughout high school were honored at the Senior Banquet and at Class Day. Prom night lent a romantic atmosphere to the graduation exercises, while Baccalaureate added a time for serious reflec- tion. The years of hard work were symbolized on the day of achievement, Commencement. First row: Mr. Scarbrough, Miss Buchwalter, Mr. Gerrell, Advisers.
