The orientation in 1864 was hardly over when the Class of 1967 found itself swept into Malabar’s activities that stretched into the final days of college boards, and job and college applications. Senior Janie Ferris was the Homecoming Queen with more than “One Shining Mo- ment” to remember. The class turned to serious drama with the production of Arthur Miller’s The Cruci- ble, provocative study of the potential evil in human society. The closing months were filled with the inevitable joys and tears of the last game, the final examination, the farewell day, and the departing hours. Concentration on studies became difficult when Seniors became pre- occupied with thoughts of invitations, prac- tices, Senior Prom, Baccalaureate, and the emerging class of 1967.
