SENIOR PROPHECY One morn1ng as I arrlved at work I was surprlsed to see Carla Lewls She sald that she had Just been hlred as my asslstant lab technlclan Ne declded to talk over old tlmes that evenlng and I 1nv1ted Dr Lynval Slpes, head surgeon at the hospltal, to JO1H us That evenlng we halled a cab to take us to dlnner Dr Slpes complalned to the drlver about h1s excesslve speed When the drlver turned around to answer, we recognlzed h1m as Karen Westcott H suggested that we dlne at Betty Markt's Starllght Restaurant Betty jolned us and over dlnner we began dlscusslng old classmates Carla read us a letter that she had received from Judy Andes, prlvate secretary to an Admlral 1U the Navy In her letter she mentloned that last week she went to a Beauty Salon The famous halr styllst there was Jeanle Butzer and Allce Lance was employed by Jeanle as a maHlCUT1St Dr Slpes sald that last week as he boarded a plane he was greeted by the stewardess Sharon Hefner She took him up front and to h1s surprlse Howard Stoner was the pllot Howard told h1m that just last week Kenneth Page, presldent of Mercury Records, had been on the plane He was on vacatlon and was golng to v1s1t B111 Maurer, now owner of 50 OOO acres of farm land, and James Morln, owner of a chaln of supermarkets Sharon told h1m that two weeks ago Merlyn Masters had chartered that very plane to fly to Afrlca Just then a great commotlon occurred outslde the cafe The famous movle actress Lana Gardner, or better known to us as Andrea Rowlette, entered She was so surrounded by fans that we d1dn't get a chance to talk to her, but her producer Judy MCGlHH1S gave us tlckets to her new show Betty was called to the phone It was Margaret Chrlstlan, prlvate secretary to the Pres of Allls Chalmers, calllng to make reservatlons for her boss who would be ln town next week Iola Dennlson head nurse at the hosp1tal, called Dr Slpes for an emergency case Just as we were leavlng Before golng our separate ways we all agreed that lt had been a pleasant evenlng and one we would remember always By Janlce Merrlt ffl nf 'L RKT CAFE Phone 2R31 Maltland, Mo . .
