Junlor Class Hlstory On September 2, 1952, th1rteen freshmen f1led up the steps f M H S They were as follows Sondra McIntyre, Llnda McP1k Jessle K1l11an, Sue Elllson, B111 Sharp, Emma ene Weller, Gary Dennlson, J1m Hefner, Bob Lllley, Patty Andes Laura Jo Cromer Dorls Fault, and Francls Burgess After Chrlstmas vacatlon mlr enrollment was brolght up to the total of lk w1th the addltlon of Senta Plvonka, who came to us from Nebraska After the dreaded initlatlon arrlved and our ordeal was over we were proud of our new tltle WFresh1e,' and we were lOOk1Hg for w rd to our hlgh school days at M H S On August 31, 1953, our Sophomore year be an wlth one change 1n our enrollment There were also some new faculty members School was strange for a week but then we felt at home agaln Claude Corbln f1rst of the year, when he enrolled 1n Maryvllle Hlgh School W were also deeply saddened by the death of our classm te Gary Denxlson Among the events of our Sophomore year was the sponsJr1ng of the Fall Dance It was the I1PSt Fall Dance to be g1ven at M H S , and was greatly engoyed by the students and Faculty On the 31st of August, 1952, there were 12 students enrolled in the Junlor Class We were sorry to lose B111 Sharp from our enroll ment There were now 11 members of the Junlor Class, 10 glrls and 1 boy Our major events were the Junlor Play and the Ju lor and Senlor Banquet Our play was agreed to be one of M H S 's best It was a 3 act comedy, UCa1l Me Darllng W We enJoyed presentlng th1s play and greatly appreclated the patlence and efforts of Mrs Pease who helped us to m me the play successiul We are lookln forward to our Senlor year w1th gre t ant1C1paC1OH Presldent Sondra McIntyre Vice Presldent Jim Hefner Secretary Linda McPike Treasurer Sue Elllson Sponsor Mrs Pease o . . . : ' ' e, . . .
