BASKETBALL Coach Freeman ' s basketball team continued its traditional winning ways in 1963-64, a habit discouraging to all but those at Maine West. A second place in the Proviso Holiday Tournament was merely an indication of what was to come, as the boys ran, passed, and shot through the Mid-Suburban Conference schedule, finishing with a perfect record and first place. The team finished the regular season with an 18-4 record.

SCORES CROSS COUNTRY Maine West ' s cross country squad was kept from an excellent season only by its lack of ex- perience; by far the greater portion of the team was made up of juniors. Student enthusiasm for this sport is always increasing, as is the quality of the Warriors ' running, for never before have as many as five Maine runners in one race fin- ished the home course in under eleven minutes.
