QUILL AND SCROLL The Quill and Scroll is a nation-wide organiza- tion. Only those juniors and seniors who rank in the upper third of their class and who have done outstanding work on a school publication are eligible for membership. Front row. It meets every period and the member comes to class every time he has a study hall. Once there, he works on a special science project of his own choosing and does research In this field as much as possible. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETV Juniors and seniors are eligible for member- ship in the National Honor Society. Juniors must rank in the upper fifth of their class and have no grade lower than a 6. Seniors must rank in the upper quarter of their class. Faculty members vote for those students whom they feel are quali- fied and those selected are initiated into the society. PARKING LOT MONITORS Any boy who has a driver ' s license is eligible to join this organization. The parking lot monitors uphold the restrictions placed upon cars driven in the parking lot. NURSES ' HELPERS The members of this useful service organization fill out accident reports, take care of patients, and type for the school nurses. A test is given in which vocabulary level, comprehension skill, and reading rates are scored. Students v ' ho rank in the ninetieth percentile in total vocabulary and comprehension and in reading rate receive a silver pin. A gold pin is earned by achieving a ninety- ninth percentile ranking. THESPIAN SOCIETY Thespian members are people who have worked one hundred hours or more on stage at any of the regularly scheduled school productions. They take various field trips to further their knowl- edge of the theatrical arts. V-SHOW DIRECTORS V-Show directors have the responsibility of organizing and planning the V-Show. They must select acts, scenery, and music for the production. They work for about four months preceding the show and are the ones who help make the show the success it is.
