Home Ec. adds to curriculum The Home Economics Department has undergone considerable expan- sion ir1 thirteen years. In 1964 six Home Ec. classes were offered in comparison with today's nineteen. These added courses have strongly contributed to the increasing popu- larity of the department. This year Clothing IV was added to the cur- riculum, enabling talented students to plan their own programs based upon their experiences from other clothing classes. Also this year, CLID spent time evaluating actual homes for in- terior designing. The Food Occupa- tions Club planned many banquets and brunches, using experience gain- ed in this department. Whether it be clothing, foods, or psychology, the Home Ec. Department provided much background. k 92 -Q at Y AQ, o lr Lip' 1-is 'VS' 5 4 Ntjl aim

Boys'P.E. has new electives The Boy's Physical Education De- partment was probably one of the most popular departments with boys. The P.E. department strove for the addition of courses in order that a high interest in physical education be kept. Juniors and seniors enjoyed new classes in golf, scuba diving and street hockey. Although the freshmen were not able to choose elective courses, they experienced some new units this year including street hockey. With the addition of classes, this department focused both on at- taining physical fitness and sustain- ing interests in P.E. by offering inter- esting and worthwhile classes.
