Freshmen basketball teams take conference title grit '57 I l V 5: E7 . 'I 3 L, All of the underclass basketball teams completed their 1976-77 season with outstanding records. On South's freshmen level, the A and B teams both won their conferences, having winning records. At sophomore level, there was a bit of a letdown, as this team did not win conference as they did in their freshmen year. Key in- juries hurt the Hawks early, and two players, Jeff Baker and Dan Fiddler, were both on the varsity. The J.V. Hawks only had two losses during the season, winning conference with a 17-2 record. The J .V. Hawks showed great promise for the '77-'78 varsity basketball team.
