Cross Country has 9-3 record Endurance, skill, and of course de- dication are three traits that are necessary for a cross country runner. Obviously, our Maine South Hawks had these qualities in their '76-'77 season, as they were able to finish with a conference record of 9-3 in the Central Suburban League. Out- standing athletes were Steve Senf, who, after qualifying for the state meet, was able to finish third. Tim McNamara was also named to the conference list. With the coming strength of the frosh-soph teams, next year's harriers should uphold this ex- cellent record and prove to be very tough competition for all their con- ference opponents. 31
