Pep Coun.cil's l l ff spirit adds life This year, Maine South's Pep Club Council strived to promote a true school spirit. The girls chosen as council members attended all sport- ing activities and helped to cheer on the athletes. Spirit tags were hung on the player's lockersg also, council members decorated the homes of the athletes before significant games. Spirit and Sports Week again proved to be a huge success, along with some of Pep Club's other activities such as the Homecoming Pep Rally and the Alumni Breakfast. In ad- dition, Hawk pins were also sold to the student body. On the whole, the girls demonstrated true spirit throughout the entire year. ABOVE RIGHT: Pep Club Council Officers: Back: R. Both a preliminary and original routine were required for the tryouts. Dancers that were accepted into the club performed in various activities. All twenty-five members participated in their V-Show dance entitled Outta Sight. Orchesis members Honi Woodside and Lori Gauger were also valuable as V-Show student choreographers. Also, Orch- esis performed dance routines for such organizations as the Motherls Club, the Park Ridge Jaycees, several churches, in addition to their annual concert held in the spring. Orchesis was also very honored to demonstrate for the Illinois Dance Association during the fall. Certainly, the skilled dancers of this club performed much this year.
