Science Dept. . . I modifies class With an increase in the number of laboratories, classes, teachers and courses available, the Science De- partment has gained much popu- larity with students throughout the years. Thirteen years ago, courses such as Geology and Accelerated Biology I were nonexistent, but were recently added to broaden the selec- tion for students. This year, in particular, emphasis was placed on the Physical Science course which underwent many modifications. Also, a trial chemistry textbook was used to further benefit the students. Obviously students needs were met by the many science classes. MXPX 1 71 ABOVE: Sue Trull worked carefully on a science problem with her science lab partner FAR ABOVE: Mr. Haglund sometimes showed movies in physics. FAR CENTER Jim Meehan and John Wall worked care fully to do their science experiment correctly FAR RIGHT: Don Schroeder and Bob East man worked together in identifying an inter esting mineral. FAR RIGHT CENTER Jenny Chan carefully checked her scale to be sure she got an accurate weight FAR RIGHT: Four students carefully executed an experiment in their chemistry class RIGHT Sue Black and Keith Olson worked precisely when they sliced their rocks. 1 OO
