Business Ed. adds computer The Business Education courses again helped students in job train- ing. The more popular classes, typing and stenography, along with the recent data processing and account- ing classes contributed to the stu- dent's preparation toward most oc- cupations. Because the actual job situations were practiced, this de- partment produced rnany qualified and experienced business workers. A new addition to data processing, a computer terminal located in the A- wing, allowed students to work during a free period. This indeed, gave stu- dents a good chance for a job op- portunity in the futuristic world of computers. On the whole, South's Business Education Department en- abled students to prepare for their future careers. RIGHT: Renee Ludwig listened attentiuely as Mr. Anderson lectured to the class. Gtrls P E offers courses m yoga and handball As with all departments, the Girl's Physical Education Department has sought, over the years, to broaden the course selection for students and, in doing so, increase interest in girl's sports. This school year, in particular, many girls chose to par- ticipate in some new elective offer- ed, European Team Handball and Yoga. Because of the elective courses, the Girl's P.E. Department has ex- panded immensely in the past thir- teen years. Through Maine South's history, junior and senior leaders have been useful, and their assistance proved valuable to the department. o is 4'1 X . as . V- I I ' 'r' . i F . ..
