LE The '53 Lens has had an unusually successful year. Sales were 8070 ot the student body instead ot the usual 71 72 to '75 70. The stail consists of seven seniors, nine juniors, and three sophomores. They meet each day, seventh period, for lay-out planning, photography supervision, writing copy and identi- ication, scheduling pictures, planning the sales campaign, and checking for errors. This year there are seventeen seniors on the statt, with thirty- tour I Class members assisting them. Seventy-two homeroom reporters bring in the news of their classmates. The statt re- ceives no academic credit, Their compensation is the satistac- tion they feel as they see a creditable paper emerge from their hard work. ,B

The object ot G. A. A. is t r promote better sportsmanship and to teach the tu damentals of sports. Each year G. A. A. sponsors i dance which is always one of the highlights of th season. Miss Meyer and Miss Sears are in chara ot G. A. A., while the Water Ballet and Terrapin are under the supervision of Mrs. Paulson. Volleyball
