FOREWORD We, the members of the Senior Class, arrived at Maiden High School as new, frightened freshmen, and the delightful atmosphere of the affairs of our school enveloped us. Our first high school classes, dates, dances, exams, and before we knew it, a year had flown by—then two—then three-and now, we are Seniors. New experiences—graduation. Where has the time gone? With each passing second, minute, day and year we looked forward to graduation. Now, the coming of graduation leaves us not only looking back at our high school years, but also looking forward to the years ahead of us. During our high school years many new experiences have come our way—our high school rings ... Informers ... Homecoming ... The Mighty Blue Devils ... all of these to add that special glow to just a few of the wonderful years of our lives. This goal that we have at last attained has been for years only a dream. But now with the publication of the 1968 Maidonian, the last high school annual we will ever receive, we realize that this dream has become a reality, and we know that we must accept the responsibilities that accompanied this goal. The 1968 edition of the Maidonian could never begin to recall all the memories of our high school years, but pleasant memories will always live on in our hearts and minds. 4
