The Maidonian staff has endeavored to record in the 1964 yearbook some of the memories the classes here would like to hold dear for years to come. We sincerely hope we have succeeded in accurately recording past events and that you will treasure this yearbook for many years to come. 2 Gon en s 7n trocfuction 71 cfm in is trat ion C Classes Tlctiuities features Sports 1962- ’63 Tlcfuertisem ents Dedication In recognition of the duties you have so faithfully performed with the help of and for the benefit of the students at Maiden High School, we, the Senior Class of 1964, do dedicate this annual to you, Mrs. Mary Jane Wyant. 4 We, the Seniors of 1964, who have appreciated the work done for the betterment of Maiden High School through his service on the school board, do dedicate the 1964 Maidonian to the memory of Mr. William Herter. 5 6 Spor s . ( as ?ses 7 Mr. H. S. Shepherd, our principal We think of you, the Senior, as being a very special, dignified person. You have survived the grind resulting from twelve years of schooling and have finally ar- rived at the graduation level. We say, first, that certain basic skills have been learned by you in vary- ing degrees. Proficiency in certain of these skills should materially affect your success in your chosen vocation. Secondly, the work you have done and the skills you possess are worth little enough without wholesome attitudes. We have reason to believe you excel here. Thirdly, Be positive-It is hardly e- nough that you do not kill, rob, or slan- der; naturally, you don't. But the world expects you to take a definite stand against evil and for good. It has a right to expect this of you, in the light of your training. I have a feeling you will gracefully accept the challenge and will not be found wanting. 10 Mr. Micheal Sigmon Mr. H. S.
