 We, the Senior Class of 1960, wish to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude to you for your service to Maiden High School these past five years. Much of the success of our Physical Education Program has been due to your coaching, for you have taught us not only how to play the game well but also how to main- tain good sportsmanship. More has been accomplished in the area of space explorations during the life of any single member of the pres- ent Senior Class than during all pre- viously recorded History. Double the time element and the same statement can probably be made concerning the great field of Mathematics. Ironically, however, the destruction of life on the earth has never seemed so inevitable as now. Perhaps the challenge is sufficiently urgent that the Senior Class may move in such a way as to accomplish more for hu- manity than has been done since the coming of Christ, over nineteen hun- dred years ago.
