Mahomet had four experienced veterans in their backfield this year, but were not so fortunate in the line. In this department Coach Vitali was forced to use inexperienced freshmen and sophomores. It must be said that these freshmen and sophomores camethrough in typical Bulldog fashion and helped the team immensely. The most improved player was a Freshman, Gary Myers. Coach Vitali is now looking forward with interest to next year's football squad. With their hustle and drive, the Bulldogs should have a very successful season.
