RECENT HISTORY OF MAHOMET HICH SCHOOL The hugh school un Mahomet became a part of Communuty School Unut No 3 un the fall of T948 Actually the hugh school was a merger of the three year hugh school at Seymour and the Mahomet Communuty Hugh School wuth the new school unut servung an area of 90 square miles One of the advantages that result from the Increased enrollment and area servea us an un crease un the number of subuects that are offered Two full tume vocatuonal teachers are now em ployed More college preparatory courses are now offered to students unterested un contunuung theur formal educatuon after graduatuon from hugh school the Illunu Valley Conference, and the Sangamon Valley Hugh School Conference It us a member of the North Central Assocuatuon of Colleges and Secondary Schools and us fully recognuzed by the State Department of Public lnstructuon The school year l953 54 the suxth year that the hugh school has been a part of the Commu nuty Unut has been one un whuch some of the advantages of the larger system have been utuluzed The enrollment thus year has been T35 and un the future thus number wull uncrease lt us hoped that the hugh school can contunually umprove the servuce offered to the future cutuzens who wull enroll here 4 Mahomet High School belongs to the Champaign County Scholastic and Athletic Association,
