Throughout the period of time that has been detailed in the pages of this cruise book, the crew of Mahlon S, Tisdale has performed magnificently. Challenged with the most demanding operating schedule of her 13 year history, the crew responded superbly. Every mission and every exercise was accomplished safely and profession- ally. The men of this ship have been outstanding ambassadors of good will and great representatives of the United States of America and the U. S. Navy during visits to nine separate ports in five countries. Together, the Tisdale Team has accomplished a great deal and has been frequently recognized by our superi- ors. Some excerpts from our bosses' comments: Mahlon S. Tisdale served as a world class example in Fleet Week and represented the Navy in an outstanding fashion. RADM W.D.
