The purposes of the Students' Congress are to teach by experience the techniques of leadership, management, planning, and parliamentary procedure. It tries to pro- duce 11 working cooperation between the students and the faculty in order to pro- mote the activities which are for the best interests of the school. This governing body formulates codes of discipline and conduct which would be desirable. Above all, this organiyation in- stills in the student a sense of being it works hm mn s' rmqh 'fl' ing part of a democracy with all the re- sponsibilities of citizenship. Membership in this body consists of one elected representative from each home room. Four members elected from each class compose the Senate. The president and vice-president are elected at large from the Students' Congress. Providing newcomers with a student handbook, maintaining posts in the halls, and the active participation in the March of Dimes campaign are the projects under- taken by the Students' Congress each year. Maroon And Black Tells Our Story The yearbook working room is a busy place at all times. Each month has its spe- cial duties.
