She received her Master of Arts degree from Radcliffe. She is quiet and unassuming and possesses a calm, yet persuasive manner. Her kind dispojtion has been to us a daily lesson of lasting value. We are thankful to have been students of one who is so brilliant and highly cul- tured. Miss BLANCHE E. FAUST Librarian Miss Faust is n graduate of the Mahanoy City High School and Millersville State Normal School. While at- tending the University of Pennsylvania, she specialized in Library work. By her vigorous and untiring work she has improved the Library with her selection.of up-to-date books and magazines. V Her help to us in the Library is greatly appreciated. Miss JEANEWE M. HORNSBY Physical Instructor Miss Hornsby, Physical Education Instructor, has been the mentor of many successful athletic organizations among the girls. Her kind, understanding nature has made her pupils consider her one of their greatest friends. She is a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and4Millers- ville State Normal School, and has taken courses in Phy- sical Education at Syracuse University and Harvard. Miss FLORENCE FORD School Nurse Miss Ford is a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and Misericordia Hospital, Philadelphia. She takes a sin- cere mterest in all school activities. Her keen sense of humor and rare personal charm have made her a favorite with the student body. Miss ELIZABETH W. FLANAGAN Social Srienee Department Miss Flanagan, a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and Millersville State Normal School, is teacher of Democracy and Economics, and besides her unexcelled work in this subject, has instilled in Mahanoy City High School students the ideals of courage and honor which she herself so abundantly possesses. She has a sweet, quaint manner that has endeared her to the hearts of everyone with whom she comes in contact. Miss ALVERNA H. WELCH History Department This energetic teacher has done a great deal in or- ganizing and coaching our efiicient cheer-leading staff, as well as injecting her zeal into her Junior History classes. Miss Welch is a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and Cornell University, Ithaca, N. Y. Miss MARY E. MCATEE Domestic Art Miss McAtee, in charge of our domestic science de- partment, graduated from our Alma Mater and Kutztown State Normal School, and took a special course at Penn- sylvania State College. The girls always looked forward with delightful anticipation to the sewing class under her expert instruction. The excellent exhibits displayed by the Mahanoy City High School needleworkers give sulicient proof of her merited success. Miss DOROTHY KLINE Secretary. to tba Superintendent Miss Kline, our superintendent's secretary, and a graduate of our school and McCann's Business College, possesses rare ability in her line.
