The girls, coached by Dowell Wilson, were runner-up to Homor, La. in the annual invitational tournament in Junction City. The Pantherettes went to the semi-finals in the County tournament being put out by one of the strongest teams of the county, Village. In the District tournament the Pantherettes played for the consolation trophy being edged out again by their strong contender, Village. The team consists of Lib Nipper, Laveda Cherry, Mary Ellen Griffin, Cay Nell Randolph, Jodene Randolph, Mary Green, Ann Olive, Ann Smith, Sue Farrar, LaVerne Farrar, Elizabeth Couch Ed- wards, and Mary De Sota.
