1985-86 WRESTLERS Isl Place Team El Toro 10- Way Isl Place Team Estancia, Inv. 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Wrestlers Magnolia 8-Way The 1985-86 Magnolia wrestling season was very successful and rewarding. Both the varsity and freshman sopho- more teams were Orange League Champions. The varsity team, rated as one of the top teams in Orange County, finished the season with a 24-2-1 record. Season highlights included: Orange League Champions, 1st place El Toro 10-Way, 1st place Estancia Invitational, 2nd in the Magnolia 8-Way, 3rd in the Santa Fe Invitational, and 33-28 victory over Rosemead, the 3A Division CIF champions. Although this year ' s team graduates five seniors; Ed Cook, Kerry Giesige, Bill Jackson, Ed Nelson and Corey Wolik, the strength of the returning wrestlers shows promise for a strong team next year. The Magnolia wrestlers and coaching staff thank the administration, parents, and Magnolia students for their support this season. Special thanks to Tom Noel, Athletic Director, Gerry Behare, equipment man, Carla DeLaO, team secretary, and Steve Wilkie, facilities supervisor for their time and efforts throughout the season.
