Holstius, M The first sport Magnolia GAA undertook was bas- ketball. The girls had a successful season, dropping only one tournament to Western, resulting in a tie with Ana- heim for first place inthe league. The Tennis Team did not fare as well, winning one of three tournaments. Western defeated Magnolia 7-5, Anaheim defeated Magnolia 9-3, but Magnolia success- fully overrode arch-rival Savanna 9-3. For their second year in tield hockey, GAA fared extremely well, defeating Western, Loara, Savanna, and Anaheim. With an undefeated season, the girls placed first in the league.
