The season started out very slow for the Resorters with them winning only two games in eight starts. All of Magnetic's losses were by small margins with the exception of a few games. As the season progressed the Resorters looked better. They impressed the whole county by winning over Northwestern by seventeen points. The Resorters also thrilled their followers by defeating their arch rivals, the Richwood Tigers, by a score of 69 to 63. In the last game of the season, the Resorters won a game to be well proud of. They tamed the Darby Wildcats on the small Darby floor. Only one other team had been able to do this, and that was by only one point. The Resorters won by five big points. When tournament time arrived the Resorters hit their peak by defeating Union 55 to 50, and by winning the Union County Championship by defeating Byhalia 51 to 46. This won the Resorters the right to represent Union County in the Central District where they played one game, with Liberty Union of Fairfield County, and lost 58 to 51. Although the score does not indicate, the game was close until the last quarter when Liberty Union cashed in on some valuable foul shots. The Resorters' followers can well be proud of their team, for their fine playing and above all, their fine sportsmanship.
