TIME OUT FOR LUNCH This is the corner in the cafeteria where most of the seniors gather to eat lunch and socialize. This photo was made during the first recess. The students are: Cynthia McFarland, Larry Banner, Mary Johnson, William Morris, Harry Bryce, Valerie Branch, Pamela Willis, Marva Howard, Deborah Wilcox, Nancy Thomas, Parthenia Harold, Eleanor Wilson, Carmensita Sookins, Pamela Jones and Celestine Patterson. DECA ELECTS OFFICERS Officers of D. E. CLUB are elected at the beginning of each school year. Membership in DECA is restricted to D. E. students. The D. E. COUNCIL makes decisions for the club, it has helped the club to grow and prosper. The students are: Robert Tapper, Treasurer; Van Johnson, Parliamentarian; Miss Slough; Charlene Plummer, President; Rosemary Booker, 2nd UP; Carrie Reed, Historian; Everett Wilson, Chaplain; Francine Jackson, Secretary; Charlene Bell, 1st UP; Mr. Keith, Susan Scott, Editor-Promotion Mgr.; and Mr. Barbour. = a

Pamela Jones, Mary Goodall, Deborah Pollard, Evelyn Bryant, Cheryl McQueen, Juanita Brown, Byron Jackson, Allen Pemberton, (rear) Shirley Taylor, Melvin Kenney, and Harry Bryce. RED CROSS COUNCIL The RED CROSS makes plans for the year. Standing, Mrs. Foster, Yvonne Ellis, Mary Henderson, Gail Tunstall, Rose Morgan, Gale Woods, Michelle Harris; seated Lonell James, Gail Evans, Deborah Winston, and Shirley Ellis. “PEOPLE ARE HOMEWARD BOUND After a day of study — and some fun, these students are enroute home via the West End Special, V.T.C. Bus. This is one of the special buses that serve different sections of the city. Walker's enrollment comes from all sections of the city. =

“ART AND INVOLVEMENT To some People, ART is a way of life; many others view it as ramifications penetrating all issues of life. This art group is busy expressing their involvement in today’s issues through art. The students are: Julia Tyler, William Kimbrough, Linda Underwood, Maurice Jackson, Ben Bailey, John Baskerville, Ronald Jones, Howard Pace, Martinez Robinson, with their backs to camera: James Boyd, William Morris, Leroy Bagley, and Layton Blount. PEP CLUB FOSTERS SCHOOL SPIRIT The Pep Club is the organization that backs up the Cheering Team. They are People who cheer our great tearm to Victory. DANCERS DEVELOP RHYTHM The Modern Dance Group provides educational experiences through rhythmic motion; and appreciation of the human body. The students are (clockwise): Diane Jones, Pamela Willis, Wanda Shelton, Violet Watson, Patricia Bonner, Clarette Booker, Dorothy Archer, Cynthia Carter, and Cleo Mines.
