BERNARDO (Linward Loving) and SHARKS dance in the streets. pe ee The music department presented as its spring musical production ‘‘West Side Story,’’ music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sandheim. “West Side Story’’ portrays rivalry between two vicious gangs. Murders and death result, but who is to blame? Most of all, love is found and two people join together to help formulate a musical that the students of Maggie Walker, as well as the citizens of our city, will never forget. This is said to be the crowning glory of all of the music department productions. The production was presented in April, in the School Auditorium.
