Classes with people HOME ECONOMICS CLASS WORKING IN HOME FURNISHINGS. These girls gain practical experience in flower arrangement, covering furniture, and making furnishing for use in the home. The students are: Robinette Hardy, Mrs. B. J. Moon, student teacher, Jacqueline Moore, Yvonne Graham, Antoinette Griffin, Judy Peay, Aleatha Frazier and Violet Watson. VOCATIONAL OFFICE TRAINING CLASS These students are using these business machines in the classroom in order to be well prepared for the part-time jobs they hold in the community. Each student is in the VOT class and is employed in offices of local businesses. The students are: Judith Lacy, Sandra Whiting, Sharon Barksdale, Doris Mobley, Brenda Hill, Gail Giles, Carolyn Jordan, Dorothy Merriman, and William Meyers, Jr. (standing). Seated at typewriters: Adrain Levi, Sylvia Coley, Sandra Claiborne, Gwendolyn Shaw, Delores Lacy, Joanne Lester, Clara Mayo and Deborah Medley.

The designing and making of ash- trays and candy dishes can be both fun and profitable. The students are: James Boyd and William Kimbrough. These students are pursuing one of the several areas of activities as offered in Industrial Arts. One of the basic units in vocational Masonry is learning to construct piers and columns to support brick work. The students are: Marvin E. Hayes, Andrew Harris, Melvin Smith, Harold Tucker and Jesse Dark. Some people can sew NEEDLE TRADES II Young men are learning how to place nip-lite conso hooks on draperies. They are: Lawrence Watts and Robert Smith. NEEDLE TRADES II Some girls are placing patterns on material for individual projects, while others are tailor tacking and tracing patterns which have been cut out. The young men are learning how to operate the machine.
