Sponsors are active people Miss Ruth E. Richardson as Chairman of the ’70 Class Sponsors Committee, is an ardent and dedicated worker with students and teachers in interest of senior class activities. She sets high stand- ards and challenging demands. Lester V. Hill, yearbook advisor. Mr. Hill is a tireless worker and peculiar about yearbook details. For several years, now, Walker's yearbook has placed First Place in national competition. The photo at right shows Mr. Hill attending a yearbook clinic and workshop sponsored by yearbook publishers.

’'70 class sponsors make plans BIG PEOPLE GET TOGETHER The Senior Class Sponsoring Committee, with Miss Ruth E. Rich- ardson as chairman, aid and assist in offering guidance to grad- uating seniors in regards to activities and problems related to graduation. Dr. Johnson Installation Speaker — Dr. Roger H. Johnson was one of the most respected teachers to teach at Walker. He founded the VOICE, our school paper, and for a number of years was chief sponsor of the project. He, now retired, was a lover of young people, and a dedicated Math Teacher. 110
