Junior varsity SEASON RECORD — 5-0-2 THIS IS THE START TOWARD SOMETHING BIG. The Junior Varsity (JV’S) team is the beginning of football experiences for many of these youngsters. These are the experiences that are designed to lead up to the BIG TEAM. Yes, this is the freshman team. During the 1969 season the JV’S compiled a very impressive record. Indi- vidually, there were many standouts that seem to show great prom- ises for the varsity team, come another school year. The JV’S pictured below are: Lloyd Coley, Marvin Gaines, David Churchwell, Leonard Adams, Roy Howard, Archie Claiborne, and Allen Stuckey. Also, Carlton Smith, Andrew Goode, Ronald Deane, Wayne Taylor, James Smoot, Anthony Leonard, and Willie Marrow.
