SM1TH AND COLEY WALLACE As I was sitting under an old oak tree the other day I began thinking of our Senior Class of '45. WVhat confronted me most was just what most of us would be doing about five years from now. I tried and tried to think and picturesmost of us in the future, but being I wasnit a Prophet my efforts were in vain. As the thought grew deeper in my mind I was more determined to find out about our future. Finally a voice came to me from where I dare not say and said VVorry no more my child, I will solve your problem for you. Inst look into this large globe of minef, As I looked into this beautiful globe there was my answer. Dorothy Curry is still quiet but she must have a reason. Emma Whitlow and Rozena Iackson belong to No Man's Club. Frances Hackett is now Pistol Packing Mama. Iohn Fergurson and Norma Monta- gueis chauffeur is waiting outside of paradise. De- loris Smith is about to come on stage doing that dance that you'll call Buck Dance. Francine Bonds is Richmondis well known artist. Anne Bush is the best street car driver. Mahlon Carrington and Catherine Bailey have-stopped playing tag and are now doing that thing that you'll call L-O-V-E. Mary Bell Hun- ter has her own beauty parlor. You can find it at the end of Dogpatch Road. Iames Goode and Ierry B. Iones are the men who joins the army without being called. Marjorie Frazier has begun to tum gray, but she still swing and sway down old Market Inn Way. Morris Christian has been raised from delivery boy on Miller and Rhoads truck to the chauf- feruz Irene Early has married a gangster and has a set of twins. Already she is singing, I wish I was single again. Delceuia McCallum, Mary Davenport and Helen Stokes are stage actresses in Hollywood California Craft Club. Phyllis Lindsay has taken the president's place in speaking before a great audience. Evelyn Simms was making Shepard Hobson a bossy wife, but something must have happened. They are throwing stones at each other. Mable Settle and Sallie Howlett are becoming Marion Anderson's over night. Luvenia WVashington and Kathleen Studevant have taken Betty Grable's place who attract all men's eyes. Ella Lee Saunders has children teaching them to grow up like their papa lames Saunders. Roberta 32 Iackson has her divorce and is now looking for a husband. .Iames Carey has taken over Rev. D. D. Iones, Church with his assistant, Thelma Iones. It is at the corner of A. and S. streets. Marie Tucker and Mary Morris are now in college getting their babyis degree. Pauline Pride is a fortune teller of looks. Edward Sydnor will soon be at the Savoy or the paramount by the summer. Ramoncl CRayJ Ross has donated his speed to Milton CFatsJ Smith. Pay- ton Randolph Will be pushing a baby carriage the day after school closes. CPoor F ellowi. Ruth Smith, Catherine Harris, Margaret Meade, Margaret Cooke and Lucille Butler are among the Ladies that will make success in the future at all times and places. Hampden Moon will be eating some more chicken at the banquet next year but in the Army, Navy or Marines. Guysuiter Reaves will join some of his friends in the army during the month of August, 19- I hope you understand. Walter Brown will go to New York and stand by the Empire State Building and try to out grow it. Robert CCrowJ Smith will be one of our best known track runners by the 21st century. Doris Irvin has taken a few more steps to- ward Emanuel Kenny. One more step and she will be in his A-R-M-S. Erma Green has four little tots. Their names are Them, That, Those and Baby Erma. Carlton Brooks is on Petersburg Pike trying to hitch a ride back home. Evelyn Iohnson is now our whiskey dealer, her partner is Rayford WValton. Clifford Wingfield has on his Zoot Suit with the Stuff Cuff going to meet his Sunday Gal, She is known as Miss Isabell Montague. Margaret Betts and Marie In- gram has opened a restaurant called the Eat It And Die, their don't care waitresses are Christine Wil- liams and Gladys Fuller. Helen Wright, Maybelle Holman, Marian Sully and Anna Peters can't decide which is the worst, trying to get English 8 or trying to grow taller. V Alice Randall and Dorothy Rowlette have opened a beauty parlor of their own stay before Iudge Major Williams for going over their quota of burning out people's hair. William Chatman and Melvin Moon are still try- ing to figure out why a man canit marry as many women at a time as they can flirt with.
