Buck Doran To the Annual Staff and Sponsor All workmen must have a set of good tools. It is the task of every high school student to obtain the best tool possible: the tool of language, the tools of math- ematics, and the tools of social science and the man- ual skills. And most important of all is the hope that every Magdalena student will learn how to learn. In our present day complex social order rapid change is taking place. To join that social order requires adaptability. Rapid technological advances are pour- ing out of our research centers. Much knowledge is needed to keep up with and enjoy the products of tech- nology. In high school is the best place to get a head start with a good set of learning tools , to de- velop a set of proper attitudes for social living, to ac- quire the skills necessary for survival in this complex social order in which we live. In short, students, learn all you can, so there will be no cause for regret later. Our best wishes to each of you. Sincerely yours , ,Q all I. Buck Doran Superintendent of Schools Magdalena, New Mexico Mrs. Lucille Gutierrez Secretary I 4 l Mr. Ray Smith, Principal To the Steer Staff and Sponsor It pleases me greatly to commend you highly for the manner in which you depictedfour school and its program to the school patrons .
