Q s 660 0 QQJXSZOQG 5 wb Gr eeting s: The high school graduate of today will, by necessity, change his vocation five times during his productive years in the labor market. If he is to make a successful transition from one job to another, it will be necessary that he have a good education. Our dynamic economic community, with automation as the driving force, both creates and eliminates job opportunities. It is estimated that 2,000,000 such jobs are eliminated each year. In order to compete successfully, one must study and learn new skills so that an orderly transition might be achieved. We must continue our education long after leaving the formal classroom. We trust that our young people will make diligent use of their time and the outstanding talents of our staff to further their education so that they might compete successfully in our highly complex society. I wish to extend my sinc ere thanks to Mr. Birdsong, the Annual Staff, and others who have made this publication possible. With best personal wishes, I am e Sincerely yours, f' 'v X, 1 c lj' l ' fr!! I . Mrs. Lucille Gutierrez George G- Th0mPS0n Superintendent of Schools Secretary Magdalena , New Mexico
