Dale Long 5'10 was a hard-work- ing and very depen- able reserve. In early season Duke was a starter and instilled the spirit of going all out in the entire team. He was a rugged rebounder and a good feeder. We wish he too had an- other year with the Pirates. The reserves racked up an impressive re- cord of 15 wins against 3 losses. They Won the Elsie Invitational Tournament by beating May- wood and Elsie and then, in the finals, came from behind to dump Venango 43-40. Jim Friesen and Carol Burge were chosen captains for the year. learn John Tiessen at 6'l gave height to our bench strength. John was a good shot and a fine driver. He re- bounded with the best and filled in Well in many a game when the go- ing got tough. He is another Senior We hate to see leave our ranks. He is the 56-57 free- throw champ. BACK ROW: Kelso, Owens, McCormick, Peterson, Regier, Palu. FRONT ROW: Man- ager Buchanang Burge, Nutt, Miller, Friesen, Bates, Tiessen, Johnson, Coach Tishendorf.
