Cooks, Janitors and Bus Drivers MUHS cooks Lydia Nierman and Ida Findley smile as they begin their daily job of serving lunch to the students and faculty. Hcrschal Berry and Verl Ridgeway, janitors, mark off the reserved seats in the gym in preparation for basketball season. This is just one of the jobs that keep them busy throughout the year. Six bus drivers make daily trips to transport students to and from school. Four pictured at left are Fred Burkin, Elny Summers, John Couch and Rod Thomas. Not pictured are Verne Moore and George West.

The Sports-Minded Sara Officer, girls’ PE instructor, and Joe Piedmont, boys’ PE director, observe one of the classes playing volleyball. Both teachers instruct health, also. The Mathematically-Inclined Solving this logarithm problem proves to be easy work for math instructors Ron Little and Theodore Dowell. Mr. Little teaches math and Algebra I while Mr. Dowell instructs Algebra I and II, plane and analytic geometry, trigonometry and physics. They Teach Us of Our Land and the Laws That Govern It These four teachers join ranks to discuss world problems. From left, are Frank Good, instructor of social science and general science, Robert Duke, social science and U. S. History teacher, Charles Quinowski, modern problems, U. S. history and junior-senior PE instructor, and vice principal Olaf Johnson who teaches modern problems and works with the guidance program.
