Dedication In grateful appreciation for his many years of faithful service as Madras Hi music instructor, this annual is respectfully dedicated to Robert Brewer. “Dad Brewer,” as he is known by his students and friends, came to Madras Hi ten years ago and has served faithfully since as music instructor, Amphion club adviser and a study hall supervisor. In that time Mr. Brewer has come to be known and loved by hundreds of students and faculty members, as well as residents of the Madras community. He has made innumerable contributions to the school including many outstanding music concerts, special programs during the holiday seasons, and entertainment at games, assemblies and this year’s senior play. He is also credited with instituting the newly-organized Ainphion club and reintroducing the A Capella choir this year. Beside his duties as teacher, adviser, husband and father, Mr. Brewer has taken an active interest in church functions and has become a leader in other community affairs. It was with much regret that the school board accepted Mr. Brewer's resignation last December. However, it will enable him to accept a fellowship position at Lewis and Clark college in Portland. While teaching there Mr. Brewer will also complete work for his Master’s degree in music. With the very best wishes of the staff this 1959 Hi-Sage is dedicated to Mr. Brewer and with it goes the hope that he and his family will find much happiness in their new location.
