In the season opener, the Bend Lava Bears defeated them 33-18, but the next weekend saw the Buffs hold Wy’East to a tie, 12-12. Little trouble was encountered against Lakeview the week following, as Madras dropped them 19-6. Prineville, who later became state champions, galloped through the Buffalo line to stop them cold, 21-0. Two successive victories over Stayton and John Day followed this loss. But Redmond and Oakridge, with taller, heavier players, held the home clan to 13 points each game, while scoring 19 per contest of their own. The Buffs wound up the season with a three win. four loss, one tie record. Coach Bob Pollard says that if the boys play efficiently during the coming season, it should be a successful one. Rankrtbuil Smon Review The Buffaloes, coached by Ole Johnson, jamboree in Redmond and won two games out of three to place second to Bums, fter started the basketball season at the annual three successive victories following, they journeyed to McMinnville to attend the Lin-field ‘Old Grads’ tournament. Here they won eve Nc',Tport. tourr-'mer.t favorite, and Wtt-lamina. but were dropped bv Oakridge to place second in the contest. They were awarded the sportsmanship trophy, also.
