MaDufi Makes For All, Unity Reality There is more than a sidewalk connecting Madonna and Duffy. Every year another project adds to the various joint activities. The annual Christmas Variety show begins the year's pro- grams. Talents of all kinds gather for display within the walls of Duffy. They may not be international gold medal winners, but Madonna-Duffy ski club is working at itg jean Claude had better practice up! Leav- ing after school for Glenwood Acres on Thurs- days, the ski club takes to the snowy hills for fun and the developing of technique. Besides help- ing us out with the basketball booth, Duffy boys patronize and aid in the success of the Christmas Bazaar. But our activities are not all during after- school hours. Seniors exchange ideas of Chris- tian Morality and Marriage in religion classes at Duffy. Classes in Physics, Spanish and Latin have also combined with Duffy. Madonna and Bishop Duffy may be separated, but the side- walk joining them is paved with many memorable events. On just about any ,,,, i night of the week you can see them in the gym practicing W for the next basketball or football game, or a pep rally at Madonna or Duffy. Sporting a blue M or a red our cheerleaders are the finest source of school spirit. Exhibiting their talents at Duffy basketball and foot- ball games, along with the Duffy band, Madonna's drill team marches with pride for its school. Weekly formation and routine practices are included in the efforts the girls make to keep Madonna and Duffy walking in unity and glory. During our adolescent years our school becomes the ' center of our educational and social life. It takes dedica- tion and spirit to try to instill this spirit into other students.
