McDonald are ready to present their panel on Mother McAuley, as Monsignor Carey con gratulates M. Flaherty on the reception of her senior pin. SODALITY GF OUR LADY Flowers beautify the altar as C. Aydelotte, prefect, crowns Our Lady. Gay smiles and laughter are the obvious results at a very swinging Father-Daughter dance sponsored by the Sodality. The Sodality of Our Lady is a way of life. It is a sincere devotion to Mary cultivated by Sodalists through the recitation of the Little Office, the rosary, and mental prayer, along with various apostolic works. Although it sponsors social functions, the or- ganization's purpose is that its members attain a close, loving union with Christ through Mother Mary.

STUDENT CCUNCIL A close inspection will reveal that Madonna's Student Council is the dynamo of school activities. Through it pass most maior requests and decisions which' form student body policies. Following parliamentary proce- dure, this vital organ lends life to the ideals learned as citizens of a democratic republic. Elected representa- tives from each homeroom and major school organiza- tions freely express their views in an atmosphere of patient understanding which is conducive to progress. Here, faculty and students resolve their problems with comparable ease. The Council develops school spirit through active participation in and promotion of student activities. This organization of Madonna is dedicated to insure the general welfare, both physical and mental, of all the students through uncompromising service and serviceable compromise.
