It’s always more educational and inspira- tional to be associated with the best of anything and Mr. Dowdy has provided us with that opportunity. His influence has not been confined to our school, but has spread throughout the community, state and nation. 'DecUcatcoK Mrs. Mildred Sammons, who retired recently, taught in our school forty-three years. Countless hundreds of children owe their success in life to her guiding influence. Mrs. Sammons provided the “Roots of Knowledge” in Junior High School that opened up avenues of learning which contribute to the full grown “Tree of Knowledge.” We miss her familiar smile in the halls, but the memory lingers.
