Homecoming Victory! Hoffman Queen! 22 HOMECOMING VICTORY! The 1979-1980 football game was hosted by Madison who gave St. John the runaround. The main attraction was the crowning of homecoming queen Jaquie Hoffman. Her court included Kathy Walsh, Charlete Morrison, Angela Stubblefield and Sue Waldo. The dance was at Madison High School from 7:30-10:30. The music was provided by Lefty and the theme was Nev- er Never Land.

Cross Country Boys Run Over N.E.C. Foes The boys cross country team ran away with the N.E.C. title this fall along with many other outstanding acheivements. The senior runners were Dan Jacobson, Jeff Heidnik, Rob Rupinski, and Jeff Austen. Rob Rupinski and Jeff Austen went to state competition. Rob finished in the ninth spot and Jeff in the thirtyfourth. Rob Rupinski also finished in first place at the Malone Col- lege Invitational meet. Other members were Frank Tas- cone, Brian Woerner, Rick Dame, Dave Smetters, and Dan Harrison. The team fin- ished undefeated in all dual meets. They finished third in the Malone College Invita- tional, third in the Mentor Invi- tational and second in the Per- ry Nursery Invitational. Mr. Sears, after 11 years of lead- ing the ever improving team, is retiring from the coaching position. 24
