Mark Casto drags down the oppo- nent. The Madison Bluestreaks fin- ished their football season with a 7 and 3 record that gave them a second place fin- ish in the N.E.C. Madison’s offensive efforts were led by groundgainers Glen Potter (with 708 yards), K.C. Blystone, Bill Bates, and Kenny Schiemann. The total was 2,177 yards for Madison, and the opponents had 1,148 total yards. Tim Malinowski led our pass- 18 ing game and had 29 out of 90

completions, with a total of 610 yards. Our leading receiv- er was A1 White with recep- tions totaling 182 yards. The punter, Scott Dade, had a 35 yard average. The Madison defensive efforts were led by Scott Dade and Glen Potter with 23 solo tack- les each. They were closely followed by Jim Zirkle, Bill Bates, and Bill Whitehair. The quarterback sackers were Bill Whitehair (for a total of 11), John Palmer, Steve Ka- tona, and Jim Zirkle. There were five blocked punts by Jim Zirkle. Brian Blystone John Palmer, and Doug Mor- gan. “Pm not at all surprised that our football season was suc- cessful!” exclaimed Jim Orr, sports director. The J.V. football team fin- ished with an impressive re- cord of 6 - 0 1 in the N.E.C. and 7-1-1 over all. The tough Bluestreak defense had five shut outs. The offense also proved their ability by scoring 162 points. We will be looking for team to do the same next year! 19
