Cross Country Strides Through Under the coaching of Mr. Sears and Mr. Anderson, the cross country team finished 2nd in the N.E.C. Leading the way in the meet were Rob Rupinski and Jon Austin, who finished 3rd and 8th respect- ively. Rob and Jon also made it to district competition. The team finished the year with a 4-3 record. This record could have easily been 6-1 since two of the meets were lost by only one or two points. The team attended the Mentor Invitational, where they placed 4th, the Univer- sity School Invitational, where they placed 6th, and the Ma- lone Invitational, where the team finished 2nd out of 26 teams and brought home a well deserved trophy that they presented to the school The varsity team consisted of seniors Rick Bilski and Tom Shumaker; juniors Jon Austin, Byron Edwards, and Jim Aumick; sophomores Rob Rupinski and Jeff Austin; and freshman Frank Tascone. Stats for this year were Judy Stewart, Mary Sammet, Mary Beth Myers, and Cheri Woodworth. The J.V. team also finished the season with a winning rec- ord of 6-1. Winning Year. 1

id Dreams For 1977 This year's 1977-78 Senior Homecoming Dance was held at the high school cafeteria on October 22nd. The theme of this year's Homecoming was Dreams . The cafeteria was decorated in silver, gold, and dark and light blue. The couples en- joyed dancing to the band Coco from 8-11 p.m. The crowning of Queen Karen Bates was the highlight of the evening. The queen was Homecoming. crowned with a floral crown by the senior class president, Steve Woodworth. The queen's court consis- ted of Sue Bowen (escorted by Sam Britton), Tracy Bowers (escorted by Brian Fowler), Diane D'Abate (escorted by Chris Cicenas) and Jackie Kloes (escorted by Mark Girton). All of the couples enjoyed a fun evening of entertain- ment and dancing.
